XXX: State of the Union, freed when XXX²: A Next Level outside of the United States and Canada, is a 2005 action/adventure film, directed by Lee Tamahori. These are the sequel to the 2002 film XXX. Vin Diesel and Rob Cohen, the lead actor & director of the original experienced signed onto this film prior to XXX experienced opened, however each dropped out; Cohen unexpended when executive producer.

2 different scripts were work this film, & a of these written by Simon Kinberg was selected. a more script, sustaining a radically different plot, is required to exist as the basis for the next sequel.

Plot summary

Fallowing a prematurely dying of the original XXX (watch it on the Director's Cut of *XXX-uncensored and unrated) at Bora Bora, Darius Stone (played by Ice Cube) is selected by Agent Augustus Gibbons (played by Jackson) to become his successor. Gibbons & his fresh professional travel to Washington D.C., where they track a splinter faction of the U.S. armed forces that attempt to overthrow a U.S. government & assassinate a President, led by Secretary of Defense & previous Five-star General George Deckert, Stone's previous commanding officer (played by Dafoe) whom he another time led the mutiny against.
